Contribution to SDG
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) established by the UN in 2015 are a call for action by all countries to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs, while tackling climate change and environmental protection.
FIS Ameris uses this methodology to align the business model of each of the institutions in the portfolio with the specific SDGs, based on the impact objectives selected during the social assessment, prior to the investment.
The 17 SDGs and their 169 indicators provide a framework to analyze the social and environmental impact of any organization. Institutions can select one or more SDGs that align with their impact objectives.
